Blue Velvet is a room that is neither a port nor a city, but the space in between. The monumental passage of the old port of Trieste becomes the theater of the sea, of which the city is the foyer and the sea the backdrop. Pop Adriatico invites the public to discover what is behind the red curtain, celebrating the delicate relationship between the mundane and the intangible, between what remains of the old port and its future destiny. The installation is a flexible and dynamic space, completely transformable depending on the activities that take place during the event. The versatility of the device makes the festival interactive and available to host infinite scenarios, from conferences to screenings, from parties to artistic workshops. The linear dimension of the border becomes mobile and three-dimensional.
